Sage One; making online accounts easy

On a basis that’s nearly as regular as the rain in Newcastle, the Sage One team release new updates and upgrades to our Sage One services.

The latest of these regular releases included an upgrade to our online accounting services – Sage One Cashbook and Sage One Accounts – the reason? Because our customers asked for it!

One of the most asked for features by Sage One customers was the ability to import data. So we listened and then we developed it. Now our customers can import their contacts details and Sage One Accounts customers can import their products and services details.Sage One: Our easy to use online accounts software

This makes the process of moving your data from an existing accounting package or spreadsheets and even your contacts from your email client a lot quicker and a lot easier. We’re all about making life easier and stress free!

The data has to be in the right format before you can import it so we’ve included a sample file as part of the import wizard to show you exactly what this format is, which guides you through each step of the way.

Sage One is easy online accounting for everyone so if you don’t have previous experience that doesn’t have to be a barrier to managing your business finances. It’s easy to set up and get started and really straight forward to use.

As sure as you can be that it will rain again in Newcastle this summer, you can be certain that this is not the last time we’ll update Sage One. We’re continually seeking feedback for ways we can improve all our services and will implement new features and improvements to existing features.

So if you’re not already doing your accounts online maybe now’s the time to start thinking about it.

Richard Hughes, Sage One

  • I am currently using Sage instant accounts but would like to change to Sage one. I have a LOT of data, can I import this data into Sage One?

    • Andrew Hales

Have you had any response from sage to your query?
We are also looking at this option – but if Sage haven’t replied to your query it doesn’t bode well for any problems in transfering from “Instant” to “one”

  • Warren

I’m considering switching from Sage Instant to Sage One and the fact you cannot import existing data from a backup is a major deterrent.

I believe that you you can import from a backup with competitors such as Xero so it makes no sense that Sage have not built in a easy upgrade path for those customers using an old accounts package who want to move to the cloud.

  • Jim

Not being able to import data from our current accounting package has made this decision for us unfortunately.
